Postgraduate Certificate in Food Science

Postgraduate Diploma in Food Science

Master of Food Science

The Selection Committee will evaluate your ability to pursue successfully the course, using the following criteria:

* a “cognate” discipline means food science, biochemistry, microbiology, biotechnology/bioengineering and related disciplines.

Credit for previous study

 Successful applicants who have already completed a recognised Graduate Diploma or a four year Honours Bachelor degree in Food Science and Technology may be granted specific exemptions on the basis of their previously completed studies up to a maximum of 100 credit points.  Credit cannot be granted for the research component of the course.  Should a student be granted the maximum of 100 points credit, they would then need to complete 50 credit points of coursework, in addition to the research project worth 50 points.

 Successful applicants who have already completed the coursework but did not graduate with the Postgraduate Diploma in Food Science will be credited with 100 credit points towards the Master of Food Science.  If you have graduated with the Postgraduate Diploma in Food Science you will subsequently be granted 50 credit points towards the Master of Food Science.
