208-721 Agribusiness Management Economics

Economics is one tool underlying successful decision-making and industry management. Through Agribusiness Management Economics students will gain an understanding of, and an ability to apply, key economic concepts and principles (demand, supply, marginal analysis etc). They will also experience, through case studies, the application of economics to Australian agribusiness problems. Through the subject matter, students will become familiar with market equilibrium, demand, supply, the theory of the firm, market structure and the impact of government regulation and trade. The lecturer for this subject is Dr Nanette Esparon, MSLE.
